Dr. Yeyu TONG (童業煜)

Prior to joining HKUST(GZ) in May 2022, he was an R&D Engineer working on the next generation of silicon photonics technology for high-capacity optical I/O at Interuniversity Microelectronics Center (imec) headquartered in Leuven, Belgium. He completed his Ph.D. at the Chinese University of Hong Kong supervised by Prof. Hon Ki TSANG and his B.Eng at UESTC. he was a visiting researcher of Prof. John E. Bowers group at the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2019. His research interests include silicon photonics, optical interconnect, advanced photonic integration technology, photonic packaging solutions, and emerging applications of photonic integrated circuits. He has authored and co-authored about 60 publications including book chapters, journals, and international conferences.
