Yanshuai Chen is a Visiting Research Student in the Thrust of Microelectronics of the Function Hub at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou), China. He is currently pursuing his B.E. degree at University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC), having enrolled in 2023, and is expected to graduate in 2027.

His research has mainly focused on photonic computing and optoelectronic hybrid integrated circuits. His research interests lie in the field of integrated photonic devices and photonic-electronic hybrid systems for next-generation computing applications.
