“ Zefeng XU is an assistant professor in the Thrust of Microelectronics of the Function Hub at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou), China. ”

Prior to joining HKUST(GZ) in 2025, he was a research fellow at National University of Singapore (NUS). He received his PhD and MBA double degrees from NUS in 2024 (advised by Prof. Aaron Thean), and B.E. degree from Sun Yat-sen University in 2020 (advised by Prof. Yu-Sheng Lin).

His research interests lie in the field of integrated photonic device and photonic-electronic hybrid system. His research has mainly focused on:
