Yangdi Lyu is an Assistant Professor in the Thrust of Microelectronics of the Function Hub at the Hong Kong
University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou), China. He received his B.E. from Tsinghua University in
2011, and Ph.D. from the University of Florida in 2020. Prior to joining HKUST(GZ), Dr. Lyu worked at Google
as a software engineer in California, USA. He has 10+ publications in peer-reviewed journals and premier
conferences, and 5 patents.
His research has mainly focused on desigining novel test methodologies to ensure the correctness, trust and security in computing systems. These areas include

Our lab has a few openings for PhD/MPhil/RA/PostDoc with full funding support to work on the EDA domain,
hardware security and verification. We are looking for self-motivated
students who like to explore these topics with solid hardware design knowledge and programming
skills to turn theory into code. Students with degrees in Computer Engineering, Computer Science,
Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, or related disciplines are preferred. If you are interested,
