Hao Yu is a Ph.D. student in the Thrust of Microelectronics at the Function Hub, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou), China, under the supervision of Prof. Zefeng Xu.

He received his M.S. degree in Microelectronics Technology and Materials from Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2025, and B.E. degree in Materials Chemistry from Central South University in 2024.

His research primarily focuses on silicon photonic chip fabrication processes, with interests spanning integrated photonic device manufacturing, photonic-electronic hybrid systems, and semiconductor materials engineering. He aims to contribute to the development of advanced photonic integration platforms for next-generation computing and communication technologies.
