Welcome to Integrated OptoElectronics Group led by Professor Yeyu TONG at the Microelectronics Thrust (Department), Function Hub (Faculty) of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou). Our research focuses on the design and applications of photonic integrated circuits, including high-throughput optical interconnects, optical signal processing and computing, sensing, and imaging. By harnessing the power of integrated photonics platforms like silicon photonics, our group aims to develop innovative photonic design methods, prototypes of photonic chips, advanced integration technology, and packaging solutions to benefit society.
