Optimal Design of Fixture Layout for Compliant Part With Application in Ship Curved Panel Assembly

Abstract

In ship assembly processes, compliant parts are prone to deformation and dimensional variation. This study introduces an optimal fixture layout design methodology, integrating direct stiffness method and simulated annealing algorithm, to reduce dimensional gaps and enhance seam welding quality.
