BiographyI am currently an Assistant Professor in the Robotics and Autonomous Systems Thrust at the Systems Hub of Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou) (HKUST(GZ)), China. I am also affiliated with Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), China. Before joining HKUST(GZ) in early 2022, I worked as a Research Scientist at Siemens Corporation of USA in 2021. From 2019 to 2020, I was a postdoctoral researcher at Boston University in USA, where I collaborated with Professor Christos G. Cassandras and Professor Calin Belta. My research integrates theoretical and empirical study of system and information science. Specifically, my research interests span from control systems, formal methods, discrete event systems, machine learning and their applications to robots, autonomous systems and cyber physical systems. I am a member of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), IEEE Control Systems Society Technical Community on Discrete Event Systems and IEEE Control Systems Society Conference Editorial Board Committee. I also serve as reviewers for multiple top academic journals and conferences. Education* PhD of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Michigan, USA, 2016-2019 (supervisor: Professor Stéphane Lafortune) Research Interests
